Herbal Studies Program you will gain an in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the way of herbs. We’ll cover such topics as herbal therapeutics, materia medica, wild plant identification, flower essences, wild foods and herb gardening. We’ll spend time in the classroom with lecture and discussion and time in the field identifying and getting to know local edible and medicinal plants. We’ll gather plants and prepare our herbal pharmacy.
We’ll explore the herb business through a weekend field trip to Big Sur’s Esalan and Bonny Doon. We’ll celebrate the Solstice and Equinoxes and every day with song and ceremony.

Location: The Red Tent – 15945 Los Gatos Blvd, Suite C, Los Gatos. Class meets (unless otherwise noted) from 10 AM to 4 PM. Please arrive at 9:45. Our schedule will naturally evolve as we do, so be prepared for some changes in content.
Tuition: $1,395.00 includes all instruction, samples of products made, and Rosemary Gladstar’s home study course “The Science and Art of Herbalism”, and membership to United Plant Savers.
MORE DETAILS: Most every class includes field identification of wild and cultivated herbs, harvesting and medicine making, herb gardening tips, and wild food harvest and ingestion.
