Bridget Giuffrida,
Master Herbalist and Founder of Sweet Herb Medicinals, LLC
Bridget Giuffrida serves as Sweet Herb Medicinals’ chief herbalist. Her training has been diverse and extensive in the areas of herbal studies and humanities, with special emphasis on human anatomy and physiology. She has earned a degree in Humanities and a Master Herbal Degree from the American College of Health Sciences. Bridget also obtained her certification as a Master Herbalist and completed various apprenticeship programs in the natural healing properties of plants.
Her experience and training provide her with a rich working knowledge of the natural and harmonious relationship between people and plants. She applies her training as a Flower Essence Practitioner and educator at Sweet Herb Medicinals, using Bach Flower principles.
Bridget’s love for plants and people began early in life as she grew up in a rural community outside of Grass Valley, in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in California. It was here where she found herself surrounded by many indigenous trees and wild flowers. Bridget grew to respect and value the seasonal change in the environment and the connection to people’s sense of well-being. Bridget’s love and respect for nature continued to grow when she journeyed to the coast of Northern California, home to some of the largest trees in the world.
As chief herbalist of Sweet Herb Medicinals, Bridget offers an upbeat perspective of the herbal circle. She is a sponsor member of United Plant Savers and personally stocks the Sweet Herb Medicinals' garden with a variety of endangered native medicinals. Bridget personally nurtures this garden and uses it as a tool to teach others about plants and people in Sweet Herb Medicinals’ workshops and classes.
