Join us for a beautiful summer gathering at Cabrillo Cottage Farms for an informative, fun, and hands-on workshop exploring the art of crafting your own nourishing herbal hand & body crème from scratch.
In this immersive class, we’ll explore the world of herbal kitchen cosmetics while learning about the skin-loving benefits of plant oils, botanical butters, beeswax, hydrosols, and aromatic essential oils. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how herbs and natural ingredients can be incorporated into everyday self-care rituals to support radiant, healthy skin.
Together we’ll discuss:
The therapeutic properties of herbal skincare ingredients
How to customize recipes for different skin types and seasons
The role of hydrosols in natural skincare
Herbal alchemy techniques for creating rich, nourishing crème at home
Each participant will:
✨ Help create and take home a luscious jar of herbal hand & body crème
✨ Prepare a small-batch flower water using freshly harvested roses
✨ Receive printed instructions and a customizable base recipe
✨ Leave with the confidence and inspiration to continue making herbal body care at home
Following class, guests are invited to wander the beautiful flower fields and enjoy the opportunity to participate in U-pick roses. Participants may also create personal bouquets and learn more about Cabrillo Cottage Farms’ seasonal flower memberships available on-site.
This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to move away from store-bought products filled with preservatives and embrace natural, handmade herbal self-care.
Limited space available — early registration is encouraged.

I always discover new beautiful places when I take Bridget's classes. The rose garden is no exception. We got to learn about roses and their benefits as well as make products hands on, that we got to take home. It was a lovely and relaxing class with some skin care products to pamper ourselves at home. Thank you!

HI, my review is from the class on 7/12 at Jen & Bart's farm. Bridget was a great teacher, very knowledgeable and inspiring. the setting was amazing and the whole process was made fun and interesting.
My only complaint would be that I was disappointed that the class started late and that our rose water was so slow to make.
I would say in the future to start the pot of rose water at the beginning of the class, before we took the tour of the property which was a bit redundant, since we all toured it while Bridget was setting up.
Or make it a 3 or 4 hour class since most of us planned on finishing in 2 hours.
Enough said... I would still recommend taking a class from Bridget and going back to Jen & Bart's property!

Our community is very fortunate to have someone with Bridget's unique skill and knowledge to teach the value of natural, healthy living. The class was fun, with a great mix of women. I've been making my own body and face lotions for years. Bridget's class taught me new skills to incorporate into my routine. Highly recommend!

I signed up at the last minute for the Hand and Body Cream Making workshop and I’m so glad I did!
Bridgette is such a warm and welcoming hostess and has such a deep knowledge of herbs and is able to teach in a way that’s not overwhelming but fun! She made the entire process (of making two different products ) seem accessible to someone like myself who’s only dabbled in making skincare at home. The group was also so delightful and I made many new connections. I feel confident and excited to create something at home that can help with our dry skin and maybe even my son’s eczema. Thanks!
